Competition Overview
The ACME Open Math Tournament (AOMT) — Finals is an exciting and challenging event open only to those who participated in the Preliminary Round and qualified for this final stage. This round takes the competition to the next level, where individual talent meets teamwork!
For the AOMT Finals, we are not only focusing on individual achievements but also encouraging students to team up with classmates or friends, whether from their own school or outside. This team-based format promotes collaboration, creativity, and diverse problem-solving approaches.
The Finals will feature the following rounds:
- Power Round: Teams will work together to research and solve problems based on a specific mathematical theme.
- Relay Round: Teams will be divided into three-person groups, each group receiving different questions, and working together in a relay format to complete the challenge.
- Team Round: Each team will receive 10 problems, worth 2.5 points each, for a total of 25 points. Questions left unanswered or answered incorrectly will not earn points.
- Individual Round: Participants will have 105 minutes to solve 10 individual questions, each worth 1 point. No points will be awarded for unanswered or incorrect responses.
And that's just the beginning! We are constantly introducing new and exciting activities to make the competition more engaging and enjoyable for everyone.
